Cole's Adventures in Riverview Chapter 4: Meeting Aiden Jones

Last night's workout made Cole feel sore all around. Time for him to treat himself to a massage at a spa.

Here we are at the Sunflower Spa! Cole decided to get a Shiatsu Massage, which is quick and the least expensive option there is.

After that quick and relaxing massage, he headed to the Azalea Acres Community Garden.

"Lots of plants growing here. It's time I start growing my own plants so that I don't have to go to the supermarket very often to get them for my cooking," Cole said to himself.

He started off with the onion plants.

"The only recipes I can think of that require onions are Goopy Carbonara and Cheesesteak. Yummy!", he thought to himself.

Next up were the lettuce plants.

"These lettuces would be great for the autumn salad!"

While Cole was harvesting the lettuce plants, there was a fight going on in the background.

Uh oh! Those must be some of the members of the Shallow Family!! That is Kurt Shallow attacking June Shallow. The man watching the fight is Tom Shallow, Kurt's son and June's husband. Word has it that the Shallows are loveless and evil! If Cole were to meet any of the Shallows, he better be careful.

Cole looked at the fight and thought to himself, "A community garden is not the place to fight. Go to a fighting arena to do that. It's best that I don't get involved." 

Ignoring the fight, he continued to find crops to harvest. He found some bell pepper plants and harvested them. Then, he moved on to the apple trees and harvested them.

"With these apples, I can make some fruit parfait, cobbler, and any recipe that requires apples!"

Time to continue exploring the town. He headed to the "All the Rave" Warehouse which is an abandoned warehouse. Word has it will potentially become the place to hold seasonal festivals.

While exploring the warehouse, he met this guy, who introduced himself as Aiden Jones. Cole started the conversation off by telling him a funny science story.

Aiden felt entertained after Cole told the story. That must've been an extremely hilarious science story!

"So Aiden, what do you do for a living? I currently work in the sports career as a Snack Hawker," Cole said.

"I work in the science career as a lab tech!", Aiden said.

"You're a scientist? Cool! I assume you must have some gardening skills? I could use some of your tips as I am about to start my garden."

"I do have some gardening skills! However, they're just basic skills. I can offer a few tips for you. If you go fishing and catch fish, save them because they can make some good fertilizer to help your plants grow faster. Each fish has their own fertilizer strength, so be sure to pick the fish that are the best for fertilizing your plants. You can also use plants you've harvested to fertilize your plants. "Thanks for the useful gardening tips! Say, wanna hear a joke?"

"Sure! I could definitely use another laugh!"

"Why did the can crusher quit his job?"

"Why?"

"Because he said that it's soda pressing!"

"LOL! That's a great joke, my friend!"

"I'm happy to hear that! I'm quite a jokester, you know!"

After a good joke, Cole was curious to know about the science career, so he asked Aiden about the scientist life.

"What's life like as a scientist? Do you guys just examine stuff with microscopes?"

"In the science career, it's not just about examining objects such as rocks and gems. We also work with chemicals to create potions that can alter people's needs and emotions, as well as working on our gardening skills."

"You get to do lots of science experiments? That's so cool!"

"Yeah!"

Later, Cole shared some celebrity gossip he read online.

They both laughed after hearing it. That celebrity gossip must've been interesting to hear.

"Science rules!! Oh, have you done anything cool in the science lab so far?", Cole said.

"Now that you mentioned it, there was this one time that made me go, 'WOW!' Wanna hear?", Aiden asked.

"Do tell!"

"A couple of my co-workers and I were examining and polishing off the gems, metals and space rocks we found from your last expedition. Guess what we came across?"

"What?"

"A pink diamond!"

"Get out of here! Are you for real??"

"I'm not joking! For years, I've only seen a pink diamond on paper. That was the first time I saw one up close with my very own eyes! These are rare, so it's difficult to find one!"

"Amazing! I'm so happy to hear that. I'll eventually start collecting gems."

"Good luck! Hope you can get a pink diamond or any other rare gem!"

After conversing for a while, it's discovered that both Cole and Aiden are friendly!

"All right! A fellow friendly dude!", Cole said.

"Awesome! We're both friendly! We're going to get along just fine!", Aiden said.

"Agreed!"

Cole asked Aiden about his family. Aiden told him that he's married to his wife, Hannah, and they lived in a haunted house on a hill. Their house is haunted by the ghosts of Hannah's deceased family.

"Look at the time. It's dinner time. I must head out now."

"Cole, it was a pleasure to have met you! Hope to see you around town!"

"Same! Take care, Aiden!"

After saying goodbye to Aiden, Cole headed to the central part of Riverview.

There was this fancy restaurant called Little Corsican Bistro. He heard great reviews on it, so he decided to eat there. Before he went inside, he changed into his formal clothes as the restaurant's dress code stated that customers should wear formal clothing inside.

"I can't wait to see what's offered there!", Cole said and headed inside.

One hour later, he left the restaurant with a smile on his face. It must've gone well!

"All right! That was one epic meal! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!", he said clapping his hands out of joy.

He headed back home and took an extreme shower until he was extremely clean. Then, he headed over to the TV and finished the day off playing some extreme video games.
